CHICAGO, March 22, 2016 /CNW/ - The Boyd Group Inc. (the "Boyd Group") today announced that it has added five collision repair centers in the Oregon region through the acquisition of a multi-store operation ("MSO") in the Portland area. The MSO was acquired on March 21, 2016 and opened as Gerber Collision & Glass on March 22, 2016. It previously operated as J&M Body Shops, with the first location established in 1975 in Oregon City.
"In October 2015, we opened our first location in Oregon. We are very pleased to add these centers, which increase our presence in the Portland metropolitan area," said Tim O'Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. operations. "This is in line with our strategy to build out a network of centers in each region in order to optimize efficiencies and ensure high quality customer service."
In addition to the Oregon City location, centres were acquired in Canby, Milwaukie and Portland. The two locations acquired in the city of Portland include a repair center and an intake center, which allows for convenient vehicle pick-up and drop-off.
"All of these locations are well-established in their markets and the existing teams will continue to provide professional and timely repairs," added Mr. O'Day. "We look forward to building on these strong relationships and serving new customers and our insurance partners with the Gerber brand of professional and friendly service."
The Boyd Group is continuously looking to add new collision repair locations to its existing network in Canada and the U.S. Interested collision repair center owners are asked to contact Kim Allen at the contact coordinates below for more information.
