TORONTO, April 13 /CNW/ - George Media today announced it has formed an official media partnership between its cornerstone digital B2B publication, The Canadian Business Journal (CBJ), and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
As the Chamber's national media partner, The Canadian Business Journal will offer unparalleled exposure to the magazine's national audience by providing editorial space, web advertising, and continued onsite coverage of Canadian Chamber events. The Chamber will continue to promote its initiatives and events through CBJ on an ongoing basis.
"This is a natural partnership and a step in the right direction for both the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and The Canadian Business Journal, and we are pleased to be partnering with an organization that has such a solid foundation and vital role in Canadian business," said Michael Alexander-Jones, President of George Media. "Our organizations' goals and values are aligned - we both strive to promote the best in Canadian business - and George Media's broad digital platform will ultimately serve to strengthen the Chamber's profile."
"This partnership will strengthen our advocacy on behalf of Canadian business," added Perrin Beatty, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber. "The Canadian Business Journal's large audience provides a formidable platform to talk about how we can make Canada more successful."
The Canadian Business Journal will feature a special column every month written by the Canadian Chamber, dedicated to current business issues, which in turn will educate readers of the magazine and help to guide innovators in the Canadian corporate landscape.
The first event recognized under the partnership will be the Chamber's upcoming G20 Business Summit, hosted at the end of April in Gatineau, Quebec, and the first column will appear in the May issue of CBJ - scheduled for release April 30th.
