CALGARY, April 29, 2015 /CNW/ - Every May local geoscientists and their colleagues from around the world gather in Calgary for GeoConvention. Annually, these nearly 4500 people gather together to share ideas and discuss emerging technologies – discussions from industry and academia alike are hosted in an effort to share findings, learnings and new approaches to acquiring and evaluating data. The 2015 Convention focuses on "New Horizons" – specifically, the importance of new technologies to improve the cost-effectiveness of our exploration and production activities; ideas and findings that are more important now than ever.
In addition to the traditional technical program, economic and financial data will be explored as we all bring together industry and financial experts to predict how we will be effected by and how we can best navigate the unfavorable oil prices.
Despite the economic climate, our technical program submission count exceeds the 2014 level and our exhibit floor is over 95% sold as we continue to grow this premium platform for advancing technical knowledge. More than ever before, GeoConvention 2015 is a must-experience event as we adapt, advance and strive for efficiencies and sustainability in every piece of our operation. Please join us May 4 – 8; press space will be available!
