"Watching images of the disaster on television and seeing the pain and suffering of people who lost their loved ones and their homes in this tragic disaster, I knew I had to get involved to help. And then words of the song just came to me," said D'Angelo.
The original words and music entitled "It's Just Got to Go" by Frank D'Angelo is an inspirational tune sung in his classic R&B style and will be available through various retailers and online at www.frankdangelo.ca for only $2.99. With all net proceeds being donated to Haitian Relief.
"The maple leaf not only represents our great country, it represents how big our hearts are when it comes to helping those in need." continued D'Angelo. "I'm more than confident Canadians will support this song, and in turn, help our brothers and sisters in Haiti."
All monies donated from this song will be matched by the federal government. A gesture which can prove to be very substantial.
Never one to stand still when it comes to helping those in need, this past November, D'Angelo launched his own personal campaign to help the homeless by releasing a special rendition of "Silent Night." The song, a remake of an old standard, was played on radio stations across Canada and available online at www.frankdangelo.ca and the iTunes Music Store with all net proceeds donated to charities that support the homeless.
