CMN Hospitals, a non-profit organization that raises funds for over 170
children's hospitals across North America.
"McMaster Children's Hospital is delighted that Foresters has made this
extraordinarily generous gift that will help us complete a very special
project - the creation of an outdoor playground," said Jennifer
Laughton, vice president development, McMaster Children's Hospital
Foundation. "The playground will bring hope and healing to children we
have the privilege to care for as well as their families who love and
support them while they're in care."
Foresters will also be donating $50,000 to Prostate Cancer Canada, the
only national foundation dedicated to the fight against prostate
cancer, a disease affecting millions of men and their families each
year. Prostate Cancer Canada develops programs related to awareness,
public education, advocacy, support of those affected and research into
the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer.
"We're honoured to be the recipients of such a generous gift," said
Rocco Rossi, President and CEO, Prostate Cancer Canada. "The money
raised helps us fund vital research to uncover better diagnostic and
treatment options and to provide comprehensive support services for the
men - and their families- facing prostate cancer."
