Fifty-one Businesses Spring into Auction on Eglinton
TORONTO, June 9 /CNW/ - On June 3, 2010, 51 businesses along Eglinton Avenue West kicked-off Spring into Auction on Eglinton; a nine-day silent auction event in storefront windows, for the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario (MDAO).
"For nine days, visitors can bid on art, accessories, cooking classes and professional services and more, valued at $15,000, to support an important charity in our community," said Maureen Sirois, Chair of the Eglinton Way BIA.
Until Saturday June 12, 2010, auction items will be on display in storefront windows between Chaplin Crescent and Oriole Parkway. All proceeds will be donated to the MDAO.
"MDAO is very proud to be the charity of choice for this exciting new initiative of the Eglinton Way BIA. The businesses along the Way have been extremely generous and by choosing us, they are recognizing the importance of what we do - to help the one in five people who will experience mood disorders in their lifetimes to recover and heal," said Karen Liberman, Executive Director of the MDAO.
