About Henrietta Antony
The Doyenne of Canadian antiques' dealers arrived penniless from Czechoslovakia in 1949. Henrietta began working for a Czech Family making lampshades, and parlayed this skill and her natural good taste into a highly successful business.
For more than fifty years, Henrietta ran the most prominent antiques' gallery at Greene and Ste Catherine Street West in Montreal where she provided the elite with handmade shades, chandeliers and important 17th, 18th and 19th Century antiques at considerable prices. Henrietta went on to create a magnificent European inspired vineyard located in Sutton Quebec, with a chateau and stunning views of the Green Mountains as well as award winning ice wine.
"The Henrietta Antony Estate Auction is gathering tremendous momentum and has already attracted the attention of many buyers from the Region, Canada and the United States", says Robin Pridham of Pridham's Auction House. Close to 1,000 pieces from Henrietta's important collection will be sold without reserves. This is the very last opportunity for the general public to view and acquire some of the Doyenne's cherished treasures and to visit the magnificent Vignoble Chapelle Ste Agnès.
