Enforcement Notice - Hearing - IN THE MATTER OF Sean Conacher - Appearance to set a hearing date Français
TORONTO, Nov. 8, 2017 /CNW/ - An appearance has been scheduled before a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) for the purpose of setting a date for the disciplinary hearing in the matter of Sean Conacher.
The discipline hearing concerns allegations that Mr. Conacher, while the Ultimate Designated Person at Blackwatch Capital Corp., executed trades that did not comply with applicable regulatory requirements and failed to transact business openly and fairly and in accordance with just and equitable principles of trade.
The set date appearance is open to the public, unless the Hearing Panel orders otherwise. The date for the discipline hearing will be made available at www.iiroc.ca.

Set Date Appearance: November 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
Location: IIROC, 121 King Street West, Suite 2000, Toronto, Ontario
Specifically, the allegations are that between June 2013 and October 2013, Mr. Conacher:
(a) |
executed trades that he knew or ought reasonably to have known would not comply with applicable regulatory requirements, contrary to UMIR 2.3; and |
(b) |
failed to transact business openly and fairly and in accordance with just and equitable principles of trade, contrary to UMIR 2.1. |
IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Conacher's conduct in December 2014. The alleged violations occurred while he was a proprietary trader and the Ultimate Designated Person ("UDP") at Blackwatch Capital Corp., an IIROC-regulated firm. Mr. Conacher is no longer a registrant with an IIROC-regulated firm.
