Enactus World Cup 2016 comes to Toronto, 28-30 September

THOUSANDS OF STUDENT, ACADEMIC & BUSINESS LEADERS WILL UNITE TO SHOWCASE PROJECTS OF BUSINESS INNOVATION FOR SOCIAL IMPACT

TORONTO, Sept. 15, 2016 /CNW/ - A select group of 3,500 student, academic and business leaders from around the world will gather at the 2016 Enactus World Cup from 28 to 30 September at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Students' entrepreneurial projects that transform lives to create a better world are the focus of the event for an audience of business and academic leaders, media and invited guests. Student teams who are presenting at Enactus World Cup are narrowed down from 69,000 university students to the National Champion teams from 36 countries. Each team presents for 17 minutes to demonstrate how their entrepreneurial business projects provide a sustainable social impact. Enactus has been showcasing projects of business innovation for positive impact since 1975. Last year, Enactus students volunteered more than 7 million service hours, creating and implementing 4,100 projects that directly impacted more than 1,177,000 lives. The Enactus World Cup is held annually in select cities throughout the world. Toronto was selected as the host city for 2016, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Enactus Canada.
