April 14th seminar to outline benefits
MONTREAL, April 13 /CNW Telbec/ - When confronted by the effects of aging skin, cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Jean-François Tremblay invites patients to discover the benefits of Juvéderm(TM) VOLUMA(TM), a revolutionary new dermal volumizer specifically formulated to create and restore smooth, natural volume where we need it most: the cheeks, cheekbones and chin.
As one of the first medical professionals in Canada to offer Juvéderm(TM) VOLUMA(TM), Dr. Tremblay is hosting a seminar to discuss its many benefits on Wednesday, April 14th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at his Montreal clinic, MédIME, 6100 Av. Du Boise.
'Everyone grows old, but not everyone grows old the same way," explains Dr. Tremblay. "What Juvéderm(TM) VOLUMA(TM) offers is advanced facial rejuvenation without transformation. We're not talking about changing how you look, but simply improving basic symmetry while minimizing the effects of aging."
Over time, skin can lose its firmness (thinning skin), elasticity (sagging skin) or both (volume loss). However, few people realize the mid-face region is one of the first areas to show the signs of aging. As we lose facial volume, cheeks appear to deflate and descend. Loss of volume and deflation can also cause one's face to lose definition, balance, and even change shape.
Juvéderm(TM) VOLUMA(TM) is a new, long-lasting, injectable dermal gel filler that uses hyaluronic acid (HA) to restore volume and restore smoothness while gently "lifting" sunken areas around the cheeks and cheekbones. It also helps "unsag" skin while recontouring the face to restore volume to the chin, cheeks, cheekbones, and temples.
The effects of treatment with Juvéderm(R) VOLUMA have been shown to last up to 18 months, and contain a naturally occurring sugar found in your body. The results, Dr. Tremblay explains, are instant, and not just limited to cosmetic applications.
"The rejuvenatory and regenerative properties of Juvéderm(TM) VOLUMA(TM) can also be used to treat accident victims and patients with birth deformities," he points out. "Additionally, it can also help one achieve a more symmetrical face in a way that looks and feels natural."
Dr. Tremblay (MD, CM, FRCPC, FAACS) travels worldwide as a speaker and educator. He specializes in skin and facial rejuvenation using injectables and lasers as well as facial surgery and liposuction. He completed his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University, after which he obtained his specialty training in dermatology at the University of Montreal Hospital Centre. Dr. Tremblay is currently chief of the dermatologic surgery unit at the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal.
