TORONTO, Sept. 23 /CNW/ - Renowned primatologist, humanitarian and environmentalist, Dr. Jane Goodall will be in Toronto this week to promote her new book, Hope for Animals and their World. On Friday, she will also join Roots & Shoots groups as they take part in the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at Humber Bay.
A program of the Jane Goodall Institute, Roots & Shoots is a global youth action program that empowers young people around the world to create positive change in their communities for people, animals and the environment. This year, Roots & Shoots groups across Canada will take part in the Shoreline Cleanup as part of the organization's annual Project Blue water campaign. The youth will be joined by staff from Roots Canada, who will roll up their sleeves and collect trash as part of Roots Cares, a long-term partnership between Roots and the Jane Goodall Institute.
