Dove launches search for 50 Canadian women to be part of new real beauty ad campaign

TORONTO, May 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Dove believes women of any age should feel beautiful and is issuing an open casting call to find 50 real Canadian women who share this belief. These women will be featured in a new ad campaign to be launched this fall.

Dove is looking for women ages 30 to 100+ who will be celebrating birthdays between September 9 and October 28. Women can learn more about the required qualifications and apply for the casting call by visiting from May 1 to May 30.

"We're very excited to give real Canadian women an opportunity to be part of a campaign that celebrates beauty of all ages," says Sharon MacLeod, Vice President, Unilever North America Personal Care.

Since launching its Campaign for Real Beauty in 2004 Dove has issued a number of casting calls, including a search for a Dove Real Beauty initiative with Elle Magazine in 2011 and a casting call for its Body and Soul Play in 2007.

Elena Christopoulos, who was one of the women featured in the Photograph of You campaign, says every woman has qualities that deserve to be shared.

"Being part of a campaign like this was a chance to encourage the women in my own life to celebrate their beauty. The opportunity to work with such amazing women has had a lasting positive impact on my life and I encourage women of all ages to take part and to embrace their beauty from within."

Details of the new Dove ad campaign, featuring women chosen from this casting call, will be revealed later this fall.
