For the second year in a row Extreme Fitness offers public Candlelight Yoga Classes during Earth Hour
TORONTO, March 22 /CNW/ - At 8:30 p.m. on March 27, hundreds of millions of people around the world turn off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour - to show it is possible to take action on climate change. If you don't want to stay home alone in the dark on Earth Hour, Extreme Fitness is inviting earth-conscious Torontonians to participate in a special one-hour Candlelight Yoga Class at one of 5 participating Extreme Fitness clubs across the GTA. The purpose of the class is to increase awareness about Earth Hour and to raise money for the World Wildlife Foundation.
"With over 100,000 members across the GTA, we are hoping our Earth Hour Candlelight Yoga classes will not only give people something fun to do on Earth Hour, but will also send a powerful message to encourage more people to get involved," said Taso Pappas, Chief Operating Officer for Extreme Fitness.
The intimate Earth Hour experience is open to both members and non-members of Extreme Fitness. To reserve your spot in the class, simply call the participating Extreme Fitness club closest to you and ask to have your name added to the list. You can also send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
As space is limited, spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cost for the class for both members and non-members. The Earth Hour Yoga class is suitable for anyone over 18 years of age and any fitness level.
