MONTRÉAL, Aug. 22, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg is representing Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. (Couche-Tard), the leader in the Canadian convenience store industry, in its acquisition of CST Brands, Inc. for US$4.4 billion.
This acquisition, considered to be the largest Couche-Tard has ever made in its 36 years of existence, will allow it to bolster its position as one of North America's largest convenience store chains. Prior to this transaction, Alimentation Couche-Tard had 7,900 stores in North America, behind only 7-Eleven.
