DDB Canada's powerful partnership with BC Hydro continues

BC Hydro signs new three-year marketing communication services contract

VANCOUVER, March 24 /CNW/ - Richard Sandor, SVP managing director at DDB Canada is pleased to announce that DDB Canada has signed a new three-year contract with BC Hydro as their advertising agency of record (AOR). DDB Canada will continue to provide communication support for the BC Hydro and Power Smart brands, in the areas of advertising, digital communications and media planning and buying.

The selection of DDB Canada followed a rigorous four-month process.

DDB Canada first became BC Hydro's marketing communications partner when it was named AOR in 2006. The agency will continue to work closely with OMD Vancouver who is responsible for BC Hydro's media planning and buying.

BC Hydro creative campaign work created by DDB Canada has been recognized at various regional, national and international award shows and creative annuals, including: Applied Arts, Lotus Awards, Extra Awards, Digital Marketing Awards, New York Festivals, Ad & Design Club of Canada, Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) Awards and the Crystals. Recently, BC Hydro was praised for its innovative approach, creative vision, and conservation results by being named Marketer of the Year by the BC Chapter to the American Marketing Association. The special honour recognized BC Hydro for its marketing strategy, out-of-the-box style and delivering a progressive marketing campaign with significant community impact.
