DUBAI, ABU DHABI, UAE and LAS VEGAS, July 31, 2016 /CNW/ - DarkMatter, an international cyber security firm headquartered in the UAE, announces its Platinum Sponsorship of Black Hat USA, 2016, which is taking place at the Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, between 30 July - 4 August, 2016.
The sponsorship marks the largest international event DarkMatter has participated in to date, with Black Hat regarded as the most technical and relevant global information security event series in the world. For more than 18 years, it has provided attendees with the very latest in information security research, development, and trends in a strictly vendor-neutral environment.
The six-day event begins with four days of intense trainings for security practitioners of all levels followed by a two-day main conference and exhibition including over 100 independently selected briefings, town halls and networking opportunities.
As a Platinum Sponsor, DarkMatter will have a high profile presence at Black Hat including a number of speaking engagements and prominent branding opportunities. The primary aim of the company's participation at the conference and exhibition is to affirm its standing within the global cyber security community, while also using this major event to forge new partnerships and actively recruit talent.
DarkMatter's presence at Black Hat USA will be spearheaded by CEO Faisal Al Bannai. In addition, there will be senior DarkMatter representatives present.
Commenting on its forthcoming Platinum presence at Black Hat USA, Faisal Al Bannai said, "We have been communicating our capabilities and the cyber security talent we have attracted to the company for almost a year, and Black Hat USA now affords us an opportunity to tell our story to the wider cyber security community. We are very proud of the progress we have made to date, but the more we have achieved, the more we have quickly understood how much remains to be done, and we are seeking partners to pitch in and support our ambitions."
Faisal Al Bannai continued, "We have a strong appetite for the most impressive cyber security professionals and partners to join us as we look to double our current staff complement by the end of the year. We are doing fundamental work that has the potential to positively impact societies for the foreseeable future. Our vision is to protect the future by securing its technologies and by being present at an event like Black Hat we are able to showcase that technology exchange is possible in both directions, across emerging and more advanced economies."
Profiling its own expertise, DarkMatter's Senior Vice President of Technology & Research, Dr. Robert Statica is set to host a workshop at Black Hat USA in which he will consider what tools and approaches are required to achieve total security, citing examples for data controls for government, military and enterprise communication systems.
