D'Angelo Brands launches "Cheetah the Cold Campaign."

TORONTO, Dec. 9 /CNW/ - As the first winter storm of the year begins to blanket Toronto, D'Angelo Brands' employees are preparing to hit the streets with blankets and beverages for those less fortunate. "This past year the recession hit a lot of people hard and we've seen more and more people left homeless than ever before. So we decided, as a company, to make it a priority to try and help the less fortunate as much as possible," said Frank D'Angelo, President & CEO of D'Angelo Brands. "Cheetah the Cold Campaign" is a companywide initiative - where D'Angelo employees are volunteering to visit the homeless on cold evenings and show them some compassion with beverages and a warm blanket. Even the name of the campaign was chosen from names submitted by D'Angelo employees. The campaign is appropriately named after one of D'Angelo Brands' products - Cheetah Power Surge - Caffeine Free Energy Drink.

"Sometimes we take for granted how fortunate we really are," continued Frank D'Angelo. "Circumstances arise and the end result is someone is out on the street. These things happen but we need to pull together and we need to help these people."

D'Angelo Brands has purchased an initial 1000 blankets for this campaign and more will be purchased if required. But they hope there won't be that many people living on the street. "I'm so proud of my employees," added D'Angelo glowingly, "From the very first instance I mentioned the program, everyone was onboard."

This is not the only initiative to benefit the homeless however. In November, D'Angelo launched his own personal campaign by releasing his rendition of "Silent Night." The song, a remake of an old standard sung like only D'Angelo can in his signature R&B style, is playing on radio stations across Canada and is available online at www.frankdangelo.ca and on iTunes with all net proceeds being donated to charities that support the homeless. The CD is also incorporated into a holiday greeting card so anybody who purchases it can have it as a keepsake or use it to send to others as a holiday greeting card.

Over the past several years D'Angelo has recorded and released several CD's and performed countless benefit concerts in support of The Breast Cancer Society of Canada and many other charities.
