CPRS National Announces 2016 Awards of Excellence Winners

TORONTO, May 18, 2016 /CNW/ - The Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) is pleased to announce the recipients of 41 Awards of Excellence in this year's awards program. Celebrated annually, the CPRS Awards of Excellence showcase the best public relations and communications management projects and campaigns. CPRS National received a record-high number of submissions in 16 communications categories. Gold, silver and bronze recipients will be revealed during An Evening of Excellence at the World Public Relations Forum in Toronto, ON on May 31, 2016.

"Members of CPRS, and many of their peers across Canada, recognize the value of receiving a CPRS Award of Excellence," said Pierrette Leonard APR, FCPRS, LM, Presiding Officer of the CPRS Awards of Excellence. "Winners successfully demonstrate a commitment to public relations and communications management best practices."

This year's Awards Gala, An Evening of Excellence, will also include international award winners from the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management's COMM PRIX Awards.

"With the combination of the CPRS Awards of Excellence and international recognition through the Global Alliance's COMM PRIX Awards, the evening promises to be a stellar night for our profession throughout Canada and around the world," added Leonard.

Representatives from the winning organizations will be recognized at the Westin Harbour Castle hotel during the Gala dinner before more than 500 public relations industry professionals.
