TORONTO, Aug. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - The year 2010 marks the 10th anniversary of the inception of the Goodman Institute, Canada's first MBA Program with CFA Program Partner status. Since 2001, the Goodman Institute has made a significant impact in the investment management community, providing education to alumni who have excelled in various institutions across the globe.
"From its inauguration to date, the Program has made tremendous leaps and bounds," states Dr. Ian Rakita, Director of the Goodman Institute. "I am very proud of the progress the Goodman Institute has made in both Montreal and Toronto over the past decade. We have seen a significant increase in enrollment throughout the years and are thrilled to continue evolving the Program as we move forward into the future."
Designed to set new benchmarks and produce relevant investment knowledge, Mr. Ned Goodman of DundeeWealth spearheaded the Program. As the only institution to fully integrate 100% of the requirements of the Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK(TM)), the Goodman Institute continues to be the chosen institution of professionals who wish to obtain an MBA and successfully earn the CFA charter.
"When I first entered the Program in 2001, twenty-five students were registered; however, only four of us survived the Program's tough requirements," states Alex Giannou, Goodman Institute Alumni. Since graduation, Alex has grown professionally in the field and is now at Deutsche Bank as Vice President in the Structured Solutions Group in New York. "I am proud to be a part of this growing group of graduates who continue to excel in the industry, world-wide."
September 2010 not only marks the 10th Anniversary, but also the largest applicants into the Program to date. Through its constant teaching material updates to reflect real-world conditions, top of the line faculty and solid support network, the Goodman Institute has made an impact in the industry and has become a leader in the education of investment management professionals.
