TORONTO, Sept. 24 /CNW/ - Scott Macivor has been hired as a Special
Advisor to the College. Macivor will work with the newly appointed
Appointments Council and Transitional Board of Governors to bring
together the personnel and help put in place the policy and procedures
for the College of Trades.
Macivor is president of SCOMAC Facilitators and served for ten years as
chief executive officer of the Ontario Construction Secretariat, the
first not-for-profit association in North America to bring together the
interests of all unionized workers and contractors in the industrial,
commercial and institutional construction sector.
He also served nine years as a vice president, associate management for
the Toronto Real Estate Board and helped design and put in place
self-regulation for the real estate industry in Ontario.
