GREATER TORONTO, March 13, 2015 /CNW/ - Cohn Construction Ltd. was awarded Renovator of the Year by the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) at the annual Renovation and Custom Home Awards today.
The Renovator of the Year award is bestowed to a renovator who sets the standard for the rest of the sector in their leadership and commitment to customer service, as well as contributing to the overall image of the renovation industry.
The company is a repeat recipient, having won this prestigious award twice before in 2001 and 2007.
"Frank Cohn has been an industry champion for many years and it was a privilege to bestow this prestigious award to his company," said BILD vice-president of membership and RenoMark program manager, Helen Batista. "His company's commitment to promoting the national RenoMark program and hiring professional renovators has been a great service for our members and the industry as a whole."
Cohn has been an active supporter of the RenoMark program for many years, often referencing it on his popular radio show on Newstalk 1010.
A key component of the Renovator of the Year judging process is the confidential customer satisfaction survey of past clients. Cohn Construction received outstanding marks from the previous customers, praising them for their quality of work and friendly customer service.
"Homeowners' expectations are very high when it comes to something as personal as their homes," Batista said. "It really speaks to the quality of the renovator when a past client tells you everything was even better than expected, which is exactly what we experienced in Cohn's case."
