TORONTO, April 22, 2016 /CNW/ - With marketers exploring how to best understand increasingly savvy consumers, the Canadian Marketing Association's (CMA) CMAconnections conference is set to give them the tools to dig deeper.
The conference returns for a second year at O&B's Arcadian venue on May 4th and is open to professionals from across the country. 86% of last year's attendees enjoyed the event and this year is sure to be even more compelling.
Marketers in attendance will more deeply connect with their consumers by learning how to foster more intimate consumer relationships by:
- leveraging insights
- delivering meaningful experiences
- building trust and
- fostering loyalty.
To kick off the day, the opening keynote will be delivered by Canadian bestselling author of Wikinomics, Don Tapscott, who is one of the world's leading authorities on innovation, media, and the economic and social impact of technology.
It will be the first speaking engagement in Canada for Tapscott and will serve as the Canadian launch of his new book, Blockchain Revolution. This new book examines why blockchain technology will fundamentally change the Internet, what it does, how we use it and both the promise and peril it poses for our civilization. In particular, Tapscott will talk about how blockchain technology will transform the way brands connect with their consumers.
The speaker lineup also includes a number of the top industry experts from companies such as IBM, Google, LoyaltyOne, Influitive, The Hive and Holt Renfrew. They'll discuss a variety of topics, including how:
- Creating a real, transparent and trusting relationship is the route to sustainably positive ROI.
- Connecting in every micro-moment means applying data and automation at every touch point in the digital consumer journey.
- The customers that generate the most value for your business are the ones that become true advocates.
- The customer journey is a lot more complicated than watching someone go from point A to point B to point C.
"With constantly changing consumer and media landscapes, marketers need to understand their consumers more deeply than ever. Helping them find new and better ways of deepening their connections to consumers is what the CMAconnections conference is all about. Coming out of the conference, not only will marketers know how to better understand their consumers, but how to do it while driving and increasing customer value," said Gabriele Janes, Vice President of Learning & Events at the CMA.
The one-day conference will conclude with closing remarks from Canada Post and Publicis Hawkeye, followed by a networking reception with all the speakers.
