TORONTO, March 30 /CNW/ - Citi is pleased to announce the appointment of John Landry as Head of its Global Transaction Services business in Canada. In this role, Mr. Landry will report to Julie Monaco, Head of Global Transaction Services North America and to John Hastings, Managing Director and Head of Citi's Institutional Clients Group in Canada.
Global Transaction Services (GTS) offers integrated cash management, trade and securities and fund services to top-tier domestic and multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations around the world.
With a network that spans more than 100 countries, Citi's GTS organization supports over 65,000 clients. As of fourth quarter 2009, it held average deposits of $335 billion and assets under custody of $12.1 trillion.
In 2009, Citi was named No.1 Administrator for Hedge Fund Middle Office by HFM Week, and was Top Rated in Global Custodian's Agent Bank Survey. Citi was named Best Cash Management House in North America by Euromoney, for the first time, and Best Trade Finance Bank in North America in Trade Finance's inaugural trade poll.

Mr. Landry comes to Canada after heading Citi's Treasury and Trade Solutions business in Australia and New Zealand since 2005. He joined Citi in 2001 and has also held management positions with Wachovia and GE Card Services.
