FAIRFAX, VA, July 21 /CNW Telbec/ - CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, today announced a Stage One contract from the State of California to participate in a seven-month "fit-gap" project to transform and integrate the State's financial management and procurement operations. CGI is one of three companies selected to participate in the Stage One project.

CGI will utilize their built-for-government AMS Advantage(R) enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) project.
