CGA Ontario Pays Tribute to Small Business Week

TORONTO, Oct. 20 /CNW/ - The Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGA Ontario) pays tribute this week to the hard work and dedication that entrepreneurs across the province put into their businesses. The Association understands that managing a small business is often a rewarding experience, yet one that tends to have its challenges - that's why it's important to share business and financial challenges with a professional accountant who is committed to your success. Certified General Accountants (CGAs) see more than numbers to offer a wide range of skills that go beyond financial statement and tax return preparation. They can assist entrepreneurs from developing business plans to achieving steady business growth.

CGA Ontario offers a collection of information booklets and resources developed to support today's small business ranging from:

    - What every small business needs to know
    - How to select a professional accountant
    - Certified General Accountant: A standard of quality
    - Resource guide for business immigrants in Ontario
    - Top 10 ways a CGA can help you

These resources, among others, can be found online at

"The accountant you choose for your business could be your most valuable resource." said Doug Brooks, FCGA, CEO, CGA Ontario. "Making the right decisions today will help ensure that you have what you need for tomorrow."

CGA Ontario is a self-governing body that grants the exclusive rights to the CGA designation, and controls the professional standards, conduct and discipline of its members and students in the province of Ontario. Certified general accountants (CGAs) are committed to meeting the needs of their businesses and organizations with strategic insight, leadership and demonstrated abilities.
