Celebrating Ottawa's 2017 Gold Quill Award Winners

Congratulations to Banfield, Hydro Ottawa and Russell Township!

OTTAWA, April 17, 2017 /CNW/ - The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) announced the Excellence and Merit winners of the 2017 Gold Quill Awards program. The program recognizes business communication excellence globally, and is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious awards programs in the industry. Among the winners were three Ottawa organizations.

"Ottawa communicators demonstrate excellence by seeking new and innovative ways to connect with their audiences," said Dominique Jolicoeur, president of IABC Ottawa. "This dedication to advancing our profession is what made the local recipients of this prestigious award stand out on the international scale. Gold Quill winners represent a global community executing their responsibilities ethically and to the highest standards of the profession. These exemplary practitioners deliver high impact results for their organizations and clients, taking communication to the next level.

Of the 227 entries honoured with a Gold Quill Award, three were awarded to Ottawa area communicators:

Award of Excellence

Susan Barrett, Hydro Ottawa 
Entry Title: Hydro Ottawa's 2015 Go Paperless E-Billing Campaign

Kelly Rusk, Banfield
Entry Title: EDC – Customer Advocacy Pilot Project – Social Media

Award of Merit

Tina Collins, Russell Township
Entry Title: Report Card

Ottawa winners will be honoured at the Season Closer on June 20, 2017.
