CAW Rallies to Keep Siemens Plant Open - Tomorrow

TORONTO, March 17 /CNW/ - CAW members and community supporters from the Hamilton and the surrounding area will rally tomorrow, Thursday March 18 at noon to demand a reversal of the decision to close the Siemens gas turbine facility. The closure, announced on March 11, would result in the loss of approximately 550 jobs.

The rally kicks off at 12-noon at 30 Milton Street in Hamilton (just off Barton Street E).

Speakers will include Ontario NDP leader and Hamilton Centre MPP Andrea Horwath, Hamilton City Councilor Scott Duvall, CAW National President Ken Lewenza and CAW Local 504 President Randy Smith.
