jumping debuts as an Olympic sport and the Canadian women's ski jumping
team will participate. Canadian team members Atsuko Tanaka, Taylor
Henrich and Alexandra Pretorius will demonstrate their expertise,

as one of eight sports at the first Winter Games in 1924. However, only
men were allowed to compete. Prior to the 2010 Winter Games, a group of
female ski jumpers began to pressure the International Olympic
Committee and, in the Spring of 2011, women's ski jumping was accepted
into the official Olympic program.
To motivate and inspire the team, Canadians can show their support by
