OTTAWA, Nov. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - The Canadian War Museum invites all Canadians from across the country and around the world to participate in one of the most moving Remembrance Day ceremonies in Canada. On November 11 at exactly 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, sunlight shines through a single window in the War Museum's Memorial Hall to illuminate the headstone of Canada's Unknown Soldier. For the fifth year in a row, this event will be webcast on the War Museum website, allowing Canadians to experience it from anywhere in the country.

Anyone wishing to see the event should visit warmuseum.ca/remember starting at 10:45 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. It will remain available online until noon on November 12. A limited number of tickets for access to Memorial Hall itself will be made available to visitors to the Museum starting at 9:30 a.m. on November 11.

In addition to the webcast, the Remember page also includes educational resources, including a video overview of the crucial contributions women made during the First and Second World Wars and how their lives changed as a result. Visitors to the page will also find a list of events taking place at the Museum on Remembrance Day. For more information, please visit warmuseum.ca/remember.
