Toronto tech startup Wealthsimple has been named the top financial services website in the world by The Webby Awards.
TORONTO, May 2, 2016 /CNW/ - Wealthsimple, an innovator in the financial services industry, has won its first Webby Award, an international award honouring excellence on the Internet.
The 20th Annual Webby Awards named Wealthsimple its Best Financial Services/Banking website. Competitors in this category included established players like Morgan Stanley and H&R Block, among others. Since launch, Wealthsimple has brought in more than $400M in assets under management with over 10,000 clients on the platform. In November, the FinTech startup revealed their new brand, differentiating themselves as an automated investment platform with a human approach.
