MAGAZINE OF THE YEAR

Alberta Oil (Publisher Ruth Kelly; Editor Darren Campbell; Art Director Kim Larson) is the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards Magazine of the Year. This is the second time in three years that Alberta Oil has won this most prestigious prize, given to the magazine that combines excellence in content and design, follows its mission and consistently engages with, and serves the needs of, its readers.

Covering Canada's dynamic energy industry with thought-provoking insight and sophisticated design, Alberta Oil is a smart publication that serves its readers with in-depth reportage, stunning photography and innovative packaging. The judges called it "incredibly well reported… It sets a broad context for understanding the issues and simply makes you feel smarter."

The other two finalists for Magazine of the Year were Marketing and Retail News.

WEBSITE OF THE YEAR

Finance-investiseement.com (Editor: Christian Benoit-Lapointe; Contributors: Elise Laplante, Léonie Laflamme-Savoie, Guillaume Poulin-Goyer, Stéphanie Ferrère, Jean-François Parent) was named Website of the Year at the 58th annual Kenneth R. Wilson Awards. The award for Website of the Year goes to the website that most successfully fulfills its editorial mission, effectively serves its audience, maximizes use of the web, and represents the highest journalistic standards.

Providing industry coverage for French-Canadian financial advisors with a range of multimedia services, the web hub of Finance et investissement is as dynamic as it is informative, with original editorial content, interactive webinars and web TV. Said the judges: "Its success is in the skilled organization of a great volume of content… And with clear branding and comfortable design, it does everything well."

The other two finalists for Website of the Year were UniversityAffairs.ca and CanadianHealthCareNetwork.ca.
