TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2016 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, October 5th, global leaders and influencers from different religious faiths, sports, business, academia and media will convene at the Vatican for the inaugural Global Conference on Faith & Sport: Sport at the Service of Humanity. Together they will discuss how faith and sport can work together to better serve our society.

And while this conference is the culmination of efforts of key players from around the world, the strategic architect resides here at home. This conference, which is built on an idea initially conceptualized by His Holiness Pope Francis, has garnered international attention, bringing together 300 thought leaders from around the globe. This week, they will gather at the Vatican to discuss the inter-connectedness of Faith and Sport, and explore the scope and limit of this combination.
