Canada's Must-See Schedule: CTV Mid-Season Lineup Revealed

    
           - Season's biggest events return: THE GOLDEN GLOBES(R),
                   SUPER BOWL XLIII(R) and THE OSCARS(R) -
          - Final season of LOST is found on CTV beginning Feb. 2 -
           - AMERICAN IDOL returns Tuesday and Wednesday nights -
              - New series HUMAN TARGET debuts on CTV Jan. 15 -
          - TWO AND A HALF MEN and THE BIG BANG THEORY in hour-long
                          CTV comedy block Jan. 4 -
    

TORONTO, Dec. 17 /CNW/ - As CTV's No. 1 Fall season comes to a close, the network announced today its midseason, pre-Olympic Games lineup featuring Canada's most-watched television series and biggest broadcasting events. The blockbuster lineup kicks off the week of January 4 with a new Monday night comedy block of television's hit comedies, TWO AND A HALF MEN at 9 p.m. ET and THE BIG BANG THEORY at 9:30 p.m. ET, followed by the return of America's No. 1 series AMERICAN IDOL featuring new judge Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday, January 12 at 8 p.m. ET and Wednesday, January 13 at 8 p.m. ET. Also returning are Top 10 hits GREY'S ANATOMY (January 14 at 9 p.m. ET), THE MENTALIST (January 14 at 10 p.m. ET), and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (January 3 at 9 p.m. ET).

Book-ending the schedule is the final season of LOST, which returns with a gripping, two-hour episode on Tuesday, February 2 at 9 p.m. ET. New to the schedule, adventure drama HUMAN TARGET premieres on a special day, Friday, January 15 at 10 p.m. ET before moving to its regular timeslot, Mondays at 8 p.m. ET beginning January 18, 2010. The mid-season schedule is a warm-up to the biggest television event of the year, the VANCOUVER 2010 OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES. The broadcast schedule for the 2010 Winter Games will be revealed January 11, 2010.
