Call for Questions - Conflict Minerals

Webinar - FAQ on Conflict Minerals

OTTAWA, April 1, 2015 /CNW/ - On 15 April 2015, Claigan Environmental Inc. (www.claigan.com) will present a webinar on frequently asked questions regarding conflict minerals compliance.  Claigan Environmental is issuing a call for submission of questions to be included and responded to in this webinar.  Anyone with a question regarding conflict minerals compliance is invited to submit the question to webinar@claigan.com.

The SEC's final rules on conflict minerals is a very complex and wordy document.  Industry is often struggling to understand the fine details of the requirements.  The purpose of this webinar is to address common questions faced by industry.  In an effort to be as practical and relevant as possible, Claigan is inviting industry to submit their most troublesome or controversial questions.

Typical types of questions

  • What is a privately held company required to do?
  • What constitutes due diligence?
  • What do I do with suppliers who refuse to respond?
  • How do I know if these smelters are really smelters?
  • What do I do if a supplier says they have no conflict minerals?
  • My customers keep asking me to fill out their custom declaration.  What should I do?

Please submit any questions to webinar@claigan.com

Due to the expected interest in this topic, two (2) webinars are being held on April 15th to accommodate a larger audience.
