Blow the Whistle on Bullying!
TORONTO, March 8 /CNW/ - March 15-19 Brandon Street CDF and its retail partner, Centerpoint Mall, are hosting a weeklong "Blow the Whistle on Bullying" rally for youth, adults, employers and teachers; everyone who has been affected by bullying and wants to do something about it.
"US survey finds sharp drop in children's bullying," goes the headline for an article reported in the Associated Press on March 3, 2010. The article goes on to say that there is evidence that anti-bullying programs are effective while cautioning that the decline is "in schools where adults really understand how detrimental this conduct can be." All the more reason why partnerships like Brandon Street CDF and Centerpoint Mall should be formed to effectively raise awareness and educate the community.
This Blow the Whistle on Bullying rally incorporates speakers, workshops, entertainment, contests and games focused on: Cyber Bullying and Facebook 101, Mom & Tot Bullying 101, Bullying from the Eyes of an Immigrant, the Effects of Bullying, and Workplace Bullying.
