SAINT JOHN, NB, Jan. 26 /CNW/ - Three Bell Aliant customers have recently been informed they are the winners of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games contests launched in the fall of 2009. The three contest winners and guests will fly to Vancouver, all expenses paid, and experience the Olympic dream and cheer on the Atlantic Canadians in their native Canada, all made possible by Bell Aliant.
The three winners are:
Jimmy Bourque, Rogersville, NB, Business Value Package Contest,
Tarra Lynn Landers, St. Andrews, NB, See it Live or See it in HD Contest;
William Evans, St. John's, NL, Value Package Contest
The winners were selected randomly from thousands of eligible Bell Aliant customers throughout Atlantic Canada. They will be heading to Vancouver February 12-17 along with a guest, for a five day trip to take in all the sights and sounds of the 2010 Winter Games.
"We thank all of our customers for choosing Bell Aliant, and allowing us to support their everyday communications requirements through our Value Packages programs," said Joe Mosher, Vice President Marketing, Bell Aliant. "We're delighted to bring the Olympic experience to our customers in the region. These winners will enjoy an exciting stay in Vancouver and we hope that, like the athletes who participate in the games, they too are realizing their Olympic dreams as they attend and cheer on the Canadian home team."
Bell Aliant rewarded all Value Package and Business Value Package customers by automatically entering them in a draw for these prizes. Customers activating Bell Aliant TV or Bell TV service between August and December 25 were entered for a separate chance to win.
The winning packages includes airfare, accommodations, and tickets to events to ensure a magical experience as they cheer on the Canadian Olympic Team in action as they make their bid for gold.
Bell Aliant has also shared the Olympic experience with employees, with over 20 technicians working to build and operate the telecommunications network in British Columbia and 13 employees running in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay. The entire organization is getting behind the Canadian Olympic Team as the Games approach.
