Inter-Provincial Partnership Now Helps Manitoba Businesses With Cross-Border Transactions
VANCOUVER, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - PeerFX Inc., an online currency exchange specializing in cross-border business-to-business payments, announced the launch of its affinity program for Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) today.
The opportunity came by chance, when Florence Leung, President of PeerFX, saw the MCC website, which encouraged a lot of member activity and communication. "We reached out first with the intention of becoming an MCC member, and it is a great twist to discover we have the ability to enhance cross-border businesses for the MCC community with our services" said Leung.
"We are excited to enter into this partnership with PeerFX as we believe it is the first of its kind in Canada and we see a lot of potential value for our members with cross-border businesses" explained Graham Starmer, MCC President. "The fact that we are using cutting-edge technology and an inter-provincial partnership to help our members save money as they forge their own linkages abroad is nice too!"
PeerFX is based on a peer-to-peer currency exchange model matching currency exchangers up with others. It is a low overhead process that enables it to save small-to-medium sized businesses and individuals up to 80% in transaction fees compared to leading banks. In addition, as part of the program with the MCC members of chambers in Manitoba now have exclusive access to an additional 10% discount.
As an additional bonus, members of Manitoba's chambers get network transactions free of service charges until the end of February 2010. Beyond that period of time, MCC members still receive a long-term discount on PeerFX services.
"We are seeing a lot of inquiries about our services already from MCC members and this shows it was the right choice for us to get in touch with the people at MCC to launch this program." Leung remarked.
PeerFX is an online peer-to-peer currency exchange, changing exchanging by bringing people together to exchange with each other and cutting out unnecessary fees in the process. We strive to build an online financial service package for small businesses and individuals that eliminate all bottlenecks in the existing financial system. We take pride in providing responsive customer service and access to the most competitive exchange rates possible for people exchanging low volumes.
