Barn Fire Tragedies - Emergency Preparations and Disaster Planning
OKOTOKS, AB, Jan. 19, 2016 /CNW/ - Equi-Health Canada sends its deepest sympathies to all livestock owners who have been struck by tragedy in the many recent barn fires. EHC has developed a full day training course in Emergency Preparations & Disaster Planning, and in response to these recent tragedies, Equi-Health Canada will be fast tracking this training course for early release.
The training course includes a detailed section on barn fires, including prevention, developing an evacuation plan and successful execution in an emergency. The training also covers causes of barn fires, the life and possible paths of fires, hidden dangers, dealing with panicked horses and/or livestock and appropriate response to the potential injuries animals may sustain.
The training also covers detailed preparation and planning for all natural disasters such as flooding, forest fires and extreme weather emergencies. An Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Planning manual is provided with the training.
Equi-Health Canada has been offering equine emergency first aid training programs for more than 12 years, and believes everyone should invest in the education and skills that may save just one more life.
