BANFF NATIONAL PARK, AB, Jan. 20 /CNW/ - You like us, you really like us.....or at least 69 percent of voters in the Travelocity Cure for Cabin Fever do. After ten days of online voting it was announced today that Travelocity's cure for Cabin Fever is Banff.
Banff National Park has been relieving travellers of their winter funk for nearly 125 years when the earliest travellers would take to the healing waters of natural mineral springs. Voters know that our current remedies include and are not limited to skiing, dog sledding, snow tubing, skating, spa time and of course indulging in some après ski.
Put down the remote control, log onto Travelocity and book your winter escape to Banff. If you hurry, you will arrive just in time to meet the Travelocity Roaming Gnome and his entourage who will be coming to Banff to enjoy some rest, relaxation and rejuvenation....who are we kidding....they are coming here to ski, party, shop and celebrate all the reasons that Banff is Canada's favourite winter escape.
"Cabin Fever in Canada has a one word remedy and it's Banff," says Kurt Schroeder, director of communications for Banff Lake Louise Tourism. "Two great Canadian ski destinations were vying for the title in this friendly competition. As Banff brings home the gnome this week we wish our friends in Whistler the best of luck as they bring home the gold in February."
