She has written for The Guardian, The Observer, The New Statesman magazine, Agence France-Press, Elle magazine, The Irish Mirror, The Globe and Mail, CTV Online and many other media outlets. "rabble is very excited to have such an experienced journalist, editor and photographer as Cathryn Atkinson take on the new rabble position of News and Feature editor. Cathryn will be instrumental in expanding our growing coverage," said rabble.ca Publisher Kim Elliott.
"I am pleased to be joining such a dedicated, passionate group of people. In my career I have tried to follow up stories that are ignored, undervalued and have much more in them than immediately meets the eye," Atkinson said. "rabble is exactly the same way and in the coming months I think we'll be producing stories that will make our readers eager to check us out."
