ASC rules against challenge to Perpetual Energy's rights offering

CALGARY, Dec. 23, 2015 /CNW/ - An Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) panel has ruled on an appeal, made by three Perpetual Energy Inc. debentureholders, of the ASC Executive Director's decision to receipt the prospectus in respect of the company's current rights offering, and on the debentureholders' application for an order cease-trading the rights offering.

Having considered the evidence and arguments presented in a hearing on December 22 and 23, 2015, the ASC panel dismissed both the appeal and the application.

The ASC panel intends to issue a written version of its decision in due course.
