MONTREAL, Sept. 22 /CNW Telbec/ - Yesterday, the Quebec Technology Association launched 1-2-3 GO! - its new support program for ICT (information and communications technologies) startups. The 300 guests assembled for the organization's annual cocktail applauded this unprecedented initiative in the Quebec ICT industry.
Established nearly 20 years ago, AQT brings together hundreds of business people who have established ICT companies, as well as their management teams. The new 1-2-3 GO! program is intended for ICT startups that have been in business less than three years and that have no more than three employees.
Beginning in 2009, the program will entitle the first 33 startups meeting these criteria to a free annual AQT membership, which represents an initial investment of $340 per company. In addition, member companies that meet the two eligibility criteria will be entitled to discounts of up to 72% on registration fees for professional development and networking activities, as well as targeted support (coaching, meetings, and training).
François Perron, CEO of Cydone Solutions, a startup and new AQT member, commended the creation of the program. "In a few short months, AQT has already played a significant role for me. Their advice helped me find appropriate resources. They put me in touch with people who have considerably more business experience than I do and I am currently benefiting from their coaching services. I am convinced that I have saved a great deal of time."
"Through this program, experienced ICT executives come together to share their success stories and setbacks with their junior counterparts who benefit from concrete assistance that can help them avoid costly stop-gap measures", said Luc Filiatreault, Chair of the AQT Board of Directors.
Stakeholders interested in this program are invited to contact Marianne Langlois-Paquette at 514-874-2667, ext. 106, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
