Appleton Estate Readies to Launch Week-Long Pop-Up at Saks Fifth Avenue - CF Toronto Eaton Centre

PREMIUM RUM BRAND TOASTS TO THE EVERYDAY HEROES, UNVEILING ITS UNIQUELY-DEVELOPED MEN'S LOUNGE TO CONSUMERS ACROSS THE TORONTO MARKET

TORONTO, May 29, 2017 /CNW/ - Jamaican rum brand Appleton Estate has partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue – CF Toronto Eaton Centre to develop a pop-up men's Rum Lounge. On-site from June 8th to June 15th, the activation dates will coincide with the annual celebration of Father's Day and serve to cast a celebratory light on the exceptional fathers and everyday heroes with day-to-day schedules that leave limited time for relaxation and reward. Stylized to capture the sophisticated Caribbean feel of the Appleton Estate brand, the pop-up Rum Lounge will feature contributions from a series of leading brands, retailers and companies across Toronto.

The Appleton Estate Rum Lounge will serve as the ultimate escape, outfitted with brand inspired décor, vintage game stations and the serving of premium rum cocktail creations paired with expertly-crafted dishes. The brand's social channel (@Appletonestate.ca on Facebook and @Appletonestatecan on Instagram) will invite its followers to nominate the deserving men in their lives to be selected as "Rum People" with winners given the opportunity to be privately-hosted in the lounge alongside an assortment of their closest friends. A dedicated "Rum Runner" will tend to their shopping needs by drawing from the diverse offerings at Saks Fifth Avenue while the winners and their friends enjoy the lounge experience. Toronto-based men's grooming company King's Crown will also be on-hand with their team of Master Barbers, allowing guests to indulge in an assortment of their signature services. A delicious selection of food will be provided by food partner, Leña Restaurante.

The Rum Lounge will mark its debut on June 8th with a Media Launch night, hosting an assortment of Toronto's leading tastemakers and media personalities. On June 12th, internationally renowned chef Susur Lee will be in attendance for an invite-only moderated Q&A session. The intimate discussion will detail Lee's journey to becoming one of the most recognized chefs in Canada, his love for food, and more. June 13th will feature Indie 88 Morning Host, Josie Dye as she facilitates a night for audiophiles and premium rum enthusiasts.  Guests will be taken on an journey through the world of vinyl music, with a chance to win an exclusive home turn table and speaker system courtesy of Canada's premiere audio video retailer, Bay Bloor Radio.
