API Technologies Announces First North American Order for Its Explosive

<p>RONKONKOMA, N.Y., <span class="xn-chron">July 21</span> /CNW/ -- API Technologies Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board:   ATNY), a provider of highly engineered products and services to the global defense sector, announces that it has completed the sale of the teleMAX(TM) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Robot to the City of <span class="xn-location">Atlanta</span>, <span class="xn-location">Georgia</span>. The total sale, API's first in <span class="xn-location">North America</span>, is valued at approximately <span class="xn-money">$300,000</span>. The EOD robot is for use at the Hartsfield-Jackson <span class="xn-location">Atlanta</span> International Airport, the world's busiest passenger airport, which serves approximately 88 million passengers per year.</p>

<p>The teleMAX(TM) robot weighs 175 pounds, is compact enough to fit into a truck or van and can be easily lifted by two people. It is mass-transit capable, making it ideal for use in aircraft, trains, buses, subways, and public spaces. The robot can easily climb stairs and inclines at an angle of up to 45 degrees, access confined spaces and roll down the center aisle of a passenger jet. In addition, the robot's operator can remain at a significant and safe distance when the robot is in use.</p>

<p>The teleMAX(TM) robot was recently featured on the <span class="xn-chron">May 2010</span> cover of Unmanned Systems Magazine.</p>

<p>The City of <span class="xn-location">Atlanta</span> represents the latest high-profile customer of API Technologies whose robotic capabilities include the teleMAX(TM) and tEODor(TM) EOD robots, as well as the M2P2(TM) inspection and surveillance robot.</p>
