EDMONTON, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - Latium Fleet Management Inc. announced today the release of a new enhancement to their fleet management technology. Current proprietary fleet management technology Latlogix and L2 technology is now capable of interfacing with J1939 technology allowing for complete monitoring of all heavy equipment including assets without wheels such as shacks, pumps & skids.
"We have been successful in decoding the J1939 technology capabilities and applying it to our own technology. This enables Latium's client's to easily track and monitor all heavy equipment data such as location, hours of operation, engine codes, diagnostic trouble codes, RPM, engine temp, hours of operation, location, outside temp, speed, oil pressure switch and coolant temperatures. This broad spectrum capability is unique to Latium," says Tony Pecorilli, founder & CEO of Latium Fleet Management Inc.
"We offer a complete solution of asset management with our flexible communication platform that utilizes the largest combination of cellular network in North America."
Latlogix's robust all around capability is more than the standard "track and trace" system that monitors the current industry standard basic information such as location, heading and speed. Latlogix can query the on-board computer(s) in any vehicle and heavy equipment (tractors, yellow iron) to provide data on all engine and operations components.
Latium's new technology broadens the scope to all types of equipment that can now be monitored and tracked adding huge value to safety operations and insurance premiums.
"Now that all heavy equipment is monitored, tracked and reported 24 hours a day 365 days of the year, our client's field workers are reassured they are always connected to a person regardless of how remote they are working. Insurance companies are also supportive as we know exactly where any piece of heavy equipment is at any given time. This new technology helps reduce asset loss or theft," adds Pecorilli.
Latium Fleet Management Inc. is a leader in fleet and assets management and provides uniquely tailored GPS monitoring systems that keep company operations streamlined and on the cutting edge of industry technology.
