Acme Works and Ignite Capital Partner to Provide Aspiring Entrepreneurs with Resources, Infrastructure and a Community

TORONTO, Nov. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - Acme Works, one of Toronto's leading coworking spaces, has partnered with Ignite Capital to provide the winning recipients of the $140,000 fund for start-ups with a one year home for their businesses. Access to capital is critical for early stage start-ups however, participating in a vibrant, supportive community provides the type of intangible assistance that can make the difference between success and failure. Acme Works will provide desks, shared tables, infrastructure, and resources for the winning recipients, but equally importantly membership in an ideal hub of social and professional interaction.

"Running an early stage start-up can be exhausting and frustrating at times" says Christine Andrews, Founder of Acme Works. "It's helpful to be surrounded by people with a similar focus and experience whether you are celebrating success, recalibrating a business model, or sharing a beer at the end of a tough week."

As a non-profit organization, Ignite Capital helps aspiring Canadian entrepreneurs with limited access to traditional financing the opportunity to compete for start-up capital in order to launch or grow their business.

Acme Works was founded in 2013 by Christine Andrews. Acme Works offers a supportive, shared workspace where independents, entrepreneurs, creatives and professionals of all disciplines can access resources and infrastructure while working at their own pace as part of a vibrant community.
