ACL Product Development Teams Win Silver Stevie® Award in 2016 International Business Awards (SM)

GRC Technology Leader's Product and People Internationally Recognized for Outstanding Results and Innovation

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 16, 2016 /CNW/ -- ACL, a software provider helping governments and the world's largest public and private companies stamp out fraud, operational waste and unethical business, is honored to announce its Product Development teams have been recognized with a prestigious Silver Stevie® Award in the Team of the Year category in the 13th Annual International Business Awards.

The International Business Awards (IBA) are the world's premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small—are eligible to submit nominations. The 2016 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories. The awards were conceived as a way to "restore public confidence and investor trust" after the Enron scandal in 2001. A record of more than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.

ACL won silver in the Product Development Department/Management Department or Team of the Year category. The company's software platform, ACL GRC, was described by judges as "the way towards governance," and "easy to use, easy to implement and measurable results make ACL a very valuable asset to any company in the market to improve their governance, risk management and compliance." As observed by the judges, ACL's product team serves a large segment of local and global companies with a creative and pioneering solution that is a "necessity."

"The product teams at ACL continue to raise the bar—from the ACL Inspirations library of data analytics and next generation Storyboard tools for communicating to stakeholders, to enabling a SaaS/subscription conversion of more than 90% of our customers," commented Keith Cerny, vice president of technology at ACL. "They demonstrate relentless commitment to innovation and customer intensity—with thanks to our customers, who inspire us to constantly improve."

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August.

Other notable accomplishments of ACL's product team over the last year include:

  • Achieving a customer satisfaction Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 44—more than four times the industry standard.
  • Enabling just one customer savings of nearly $1.5M and an increase of 150% in the number of audits a company was able to perform, as reflected in a recent Forrester Total Economic Impact study.
  • Winning three 2015 GRC 20/20 Technology Innovation awards recognizing product innovation and user experience in governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) programs and processes.

"This year's IBA judges were treated to many remarkable and inspiring stories of achievement around the world," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. "We look forward to sharing many of these stories with people around the world over the coming months, through the Stevie Awards blog and social media channels, with the hope that they will inspire and instruct the next generation of business achievers."
