MONTREAL, Dec. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Noveko International Inc. ("the Company") is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Epurair Inc. has signed an agreement with Desjardins Gestion Immobilière Inc. ("DGI") to equip Complexe Desjardins, the largest multi-purpose building in the Montreal metropolitan area, with filters incorporating the Noveko(TM) antimicrobial filtration technology. This three-year agreement covers the supply of the filters and their cleaning. The parties have agreed to keep the financial terms and conditions of this agreement confidential.
Covering a total area of four million square feet, Complexe Desjardins includes three office towers with a total of 99 floors, a commercial gallery with 110 shops and restaurants, several Desjardins Group institutions, numerous governmental services and health services.
"We are proud that a building as prestigious and large-scale as Complexe Desjardins is the first client to be equipped with our antimicrobial filtration solution. This agreement is the outcome of a process that began 10 months ago when we met with DGI's representatives, followed by the development of a customized filter that proved its effectiveness as a filtration solution unmatched on the market thanks to a series of tests conducted on-site over a period of more than six months," indicated Alain Bolduc, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He also pointed to "the strategic nature of this agreement, which will drive the development and marketing of our filtration products in this high-potential segment".
Epurair(TM) filters incorporating the Noveko(TM) antimicrobial filtration technology consist of four layers of synthetic fibre that are fully leak-proof and offer an excellent resistance to temperature variations. Their superior filtration effectiveness also enables users to achieve energy savings. Thanks to their greater durability and the fact that they are washable and recyclable, the number of filters used is reduced considerably.
"We are pleased to offer our customers and all our tenants a solution that stands apart for its effectiveness, cost-efficiency and eco-friendliness, especially since it fits with our energy-savings and sustainable development efforts. The tests conducted on Epurair(TM) filters showed us they consume less energy from our ventilation systems. We will also achieve handling and labour savings and substantially reduce our filtration inventories and waste. All these factors, combined with the filters' antimicrobial properties, motivated us to opt for this filtration solution," added Jean Ruest, Senior Director, Buildings, DGI.
