KITCHENER, ON, Nov. 22, 2016 /CNW/ - Investment research firm 5i Research (www.5iresearch.ca) is excited to announce an investing simulation competition for high school students in their final year of school with a total of $10,000 in scholarship awards available! Participants will be required to invest a virtual portfolio over three months where the top portfolios will then be asked to submit a brief report on their portfolio and strategy with the top four submissions eligible for a scholarship reward.
Ryan Modesto, managing partner at 5i Research says "with November being financial literacy month, we are excited to be able to launch an initiative that gives younger generations an opportunity to begin learning and thinking about saving and investing. There is no better time to start saving and investing than 'today'. We hope that this simulation starts an important conversation for a generation where the ability to understand and manage your finances will likely be more important than it has ever been, all while showing that investing can be fun and fulfilling!"
