Toronto Commuting Times the Worst out of 19 Cities and SIRIUS Satellite Radio is Here to Help
TORONTO, April 1 /CNW/ - Toronto drivers have got it bad. According to a report commissioned by the Toronto Board of Trade, drivers in the GTA have the worst commuting times at an average of 80 minutes out of the 19 ranked worldwide cities. To salute those drivers stuck behind their wheels and make those 80 minutes more entertaining, SIRIUS Satellite Radio is giving away 500 radios with three months of free service to those with the most frustrating commuting tales.
SIRIUS is asking GTA drivers to share their extraordinary, comical or excruciatingly long commute stories in 50 words or less, and to articulate how their commute would improve with a SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
"With these new statistics about the GTA's commute times ranking above cities like New York, Los Angeles and London, we want to reward patient Toronto drivers and make their daily trips enjoyable," said Janet Langille, VP Marketing, SIRIUS Canada Inc. "We can't fix gridlock and congestion but we can make their drive a better experience with our 120 channels of sports, talk, comedy and 100% commercial-free music. And to be clear, we really will give out 500 radios with three months of free service with no strings attached - this isn't an April Fool's Day joke."
Commuters in the GTA can visit www.sirius.ca/freeradio to share their stories for a chance to win a SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
